WorshipServices at St Mary's
All are welcome to attend worship at St Mary’s.
At 8am on alternate weeks there is Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer. This is a more traditional service dating from 1662. Holy Communion is also held each week following the common worship rites. On Sunday evening at 6:30 pm there are a variety of services including Celtic, Iona, Taize, Compline and Candlelight Prayer and a talk on a topical church subject. On those months where there are five Sundays there is a Choral Evensong.
The Ark Sunday Club is an introduction to the Christian faith for children of 2 years and upward. There are lots of fun activities, including stories from the Bible, songs, prayers, art and craft. The
The 3.30pm Holy Communion on the fourth Sunday of the month is for those who find it difficult to attend worship on a Sunday morning. It is followed by tea in the church hall. This service does not take place in August or November and in December is held on the second Sunday of the month.

The 10am service is a sung Eucharist with a choir present. On the fourth Sunday of the month there is an all age non-Eucharistic service which is informal and one which many parents and young children attend.
